Wanderlust is not just fishing + celebrity. The series focuses on the guest host(celebrity), their knowledge of fly fishing, preparation, travel, location, inspiration, talent, and then…being all in on the adventure. This isn’t a “fishing” show. There is a vast difference between fishing and fly fishing, and the series isn’t all about that. It’s more about how the current state of our planet, the world, people, politics, and noise affects our guest host. Their platform, social media outlets, and any pluggable investments they may have coming up or are currently available to the audience are included.
The celebrity, better-named guest host, is there to give insight and “access” to their professional and personal lives. As an audience, we witness through them how deafening the silence of the wilderness can be. Standing in the stillness of a glassy river with the sound of nothing but the wind across your ears in places so remote and beautiful can all come together and offer peace in a place we would all like to be and remind us, as the viewer, of the endless opportunities, out there to literally…unplug.
